Ashley Gracile wanted FreeRide to showcase the great distant roads of Canada & the United States. So it's no surprise that great places to ride like like Ontario’s Georgian Bay, Quebec’s Eastern Town ships and the Canada’s Maritime Provinces are featured along with Maine, Vermont and Cape Cod. We continue down the Eastern Seaboard to the Blue Ridge Mountains where we stop at Ashville Diecast in Ashville, North Carolina… the perfect place to start a collection of affordable but small motorcycles.

It’s also the starting point of our bike trip along the Blue Ridge Parkway, a 469 mile scenic road that actually begins in beautiful Virginia. Our story includes a side tour on one of the twistiest, windiest roads in the world The Dragon in Deal’s Gap NC. Later on we cross through the Great Smoky Mountains and into Southern Tennessee to the Sequatchie Motorcycle Resort.

But it’s not all rural .. FreeRide also tours Florida starting at Daytona Bike Week in Daytona Beach FL where we start our ride down the Atlantic coast and into Miami’s South Beach. Then its across Alligator Alley heading to Florida’s Gulf Coast where we stop at Sarasota and stunning Casey Key. This is a bike tour you’ll only find on FreeRide.

FreeRide… Informal, informative classic bike TV.

Like the '77 Bonneville... this 1998 Triumph Thunderbird Sport is truly a retro classic. Now British bikes have always been renowned for their handling & performance since their introduction to North America after the Second World War.

This 1977 Triumph Bonneville came out of a basement in boxes & looked like it was beyond help. We realized that the cost to restore the bike was more than than it would ever be worth, so we we decided to just rebuild the bike to a rideable state and make the bike look like it did back in 1977.

Lake Placid is a beautiful place to ride to ride while the season's short the days that you do have are just fantastic. The mountain roads are incredibly smooth, well maintained and well-marked and with all the ups and downs the speed limits are surprisingly faster than you'd expect.

We're riding classic The Harley Davidson Softail Custom 1340 CC. Now what makes a Softail a Softail is that while its a hardtail bike by design... Harley has hidden beneath the frame a pair of nitrogen shocks to soften the ride.
